Rainy Monday Post

My goodness, a week without blogging. We had a full weekend here, with visiting friends and a trip in to DC to visit the Smithsonian museums. I always bring a sketchbook to the museums with me even though, with a pack of kids, it’s usually impossible to spend very much time drawing. However, I did manage to come away fromthe Natural History museum with this small drawing of an early human skull:



We spent Sunday luxuriating in on the bank of Passage Creek with a picnic basket, instruments and swimsuits. I finished reading The Lies of Locke Lamora, an excellent swashbuckling fantasy tale about a con artist living in an otherworldly city very much like Venice.

Finally, I added the Man Arenas to the to my list of links. His comics pages make me want to just hang up my pens and brushes and weep.
