Last year something fun happened. 50 comics creators were given two pages a piece and a classic nursery rhyme to interpret into comics form. The results were gathered together and published in a book called Nursery Rhyme Comics which will be released by First Second next month.
I had the good fortune of being asked to participate and I was given the rhyme Pussycat Pussycat Where Have You Been? At the time we had two rambunctious kittens (one of them has since disappeared, the other gone to live with a family down the road) and they became the main characters of my pages.

Nursery Rhyme Comics is a great all-ages read aloud book and it’s already getting some very nice advance reviews. Here’s a good one from Geek Mom:
Nursery Rhyme Comics Knocks My Socks Off
I’ll be at Politics and Prose on October 21st (at 7pm -more information HERE) alongside Richard Thomson to talk about the book. If you’re in the DC area please come. P&P is an excellent bookstore.

Any chance you'll have copies at the Baltimore Book Fair?
I wish. But sadly no.
I'll try to bring _something_ fun, though.
Congratulations! That's quite a glowing review from Lissa. The book looks like terrific fun, and I can only imagine what it will inspire in my house...
Ooh! I forgot you had one in there. I believe School Library Journal's review is up too...

Yup!
So nice to meet you at the Baltimore Book Fest today!
Ha! It was nice to meet you too! I started writing a comment mixing you up with the other paula -then I clicked your link and corrected myself.
Then I saw that one of your boys is reading Zita on your blog header!
